The Story:
Tanu Weds Manu is a romantic comedy that stars R. Madhavan as Manoj Sharma - or Manu, - Kangana Ranaut as Tanuja Trivedi - or Tanu,- and Jimmy Shergill as Raja.
Tanu and Manu find each other through the marriage classifieds. 31-year-old Manu graduated in Engineering and never married. He works as a doctor in London as is described by his parents, who placed the ad, as handsome, intelligent, soft spoken, family oriented and without any vices.
Tanu is 24 years old. She graduated with honors in History from Delhi University and never married. Her parents, who also placed her ad, describe her as a convent educated girl who is polite, genuine, down to earth and with family values. However, Tanu is against arranged marriages and far from her parents' description; she smokes, drinks, parties, and even has a few tattoos!
